Why a preorder?

The yarn I use for these hats comes from the UK. Between the cost of shipping and time it takes for the yarn to ship and then be crocheted into hats, it is impractical to place small orders regularly for the yarn to keep these in stock. I'm hoping to get enough orders to be able to bulk order all of the yarn I forsee needing for the coming fall and winter.

When will the preorder end?

May 31st at midnight (US Central time) I will mark this listing as sold out. I plan to leave it up so this information remains available, but no more hats will be available for sale until the preorders are all shipped.

When will I get my beanie?

I hope for them to begin shipping in late June. Yarn is being shipped from overseas so I cannot begin making then until I receive the yarn. Orders will be fulfilled in the order that they are received and each order will be shipped as soon as I finishing making your order.

What color beanie will I get?

Those who preorder this beanie will get to personally select exactly what colors are used for their beanie from the color swatches shown in the second image. Up to 11 different colors per hat (as there are 11 stripes).

The only caveat really is that sometimes individual colors are sold out and I may require you to select a back up option if a color you have chosen is out of stock.

You may include your color preferences in the "special order instructions" box in the cart before you checkout or contact me in any other way. If I do not have your color selection by the end of the preorder, I will contact you via email.

Can I get a beanie after the preorder ends?

That is the plan. I hope to sell enough preorders to bulk order yarn for a big fall drop (date tbd) that will hopefully mean I can keep beanies in stock through the fall and winter.

The current $25 price is a promotional price for preorders. They will be $30 when the finished hat hit the shop in the fall.

What colors will be available in the fall drop?

The beanies that will be available after the preorder will be 2 color striped hats. Typically these are black and a color, white and a color, or 2 different shades of the same color (pictured in blue in the first image). What colors exactly I will have will be determined by how much I can preorder, the websites available stock at the time, and my personal discretion.

When is the fall drop?

Some time after the preorders are all completed. I hope to get all of the remaining yarn worked up into hats and do a big drop of all of them, but how many hats I have to make will be dependent on how much extra yarn I can get. I have been planning to do a fall drop as the hats are too warm for summer, but the goal is early fall.
